Money by Pink Floyd
This is an ongoing project that was originally inspired by Pink Floyd, specifically their song "Money". Regardless of the different currencies and cultures around the world, the concept of money is the same; work, earn, spend and repeat. “Money makes the world go round” is a popular saying and the power money has on people, the saying couldn’t be more accurate.
The point I want to exclaim with this project is not only to show people different banknotes in detail for viewing but to make people realize what a person will do for money.
They are positives and negatives to all scenarios, people can look at the money and see the workmanship, hard work, and a way of living. People can see money and think of harming others, drug use, and prostitution.
Older currencies can become some sort of a time machine to people, reminding them of the times when a specific note was still in use.
Money is also closely linked to the "American Dream", a lavish lifestyle, living in the hills, buying luxurious items without looking at the price tag, and mansions.
